Iran performs concert in Italy

Tehran Symphony Orchestra choir performs a concert on the stage in the Italian city of Rome.

The choir of Tehran Symphony Orchestra went on the stage in Italy in a joint concert with the World Youth Orchestra.

Led by Shahrdad Rohani, Tehran Symphony Orchestra performed a famous work by music maestro Houshang Kamkar in the presence of Iranian and Italian officials.

The choir of the orchestra is conducted by maestro Razmik Ohanian.

Tehran Symphony Orchestra has had many performances in Iran and many other countries.

Shahrdad Rohani has led some prestigious orchestras in the world including London’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Rohani has been the guest conductor for Minnesota Orchestra, Colorado Symphony Orchestra, San Diego Symphony and the American Youth Philharmonic Orchestras.

Founded in 1933 as the Municipality Symphony Orchestra, the Tehran Symphony Orchestra is Iran's oldest and largest symphony orchestra.
